Low crime rate
Sherbrooke has one of the lowest crime rates among Canadian cities with a population of 100,000 and more, and the lowest rate of violent crime, at 405 incidents per 100,000, when compared with 33 other Canadian cities.
The fire insurance rating attributed to Sherbrooke is 2 out of a possible 10 according to the Insurers Advisory Organization of Canada. This exceptional rating allows businesses to benefit from lower insurance premiums.

Low cost of living
The region has a low cost of living, lower in fact than most Canadian cities.
