Louis Lagassé
CEO and Chairman of the Board

Louis Lagassé CEO and Chairman of the Board of Media5 Corporation and Mediatrix Telecom is well-known in Canada and Quebec for his talents as a businessman and his philanthropy. Mr. Lagassé is also President of the holding Gestion Portland-Vimy Inc., Groupe Lagassé Europe SAS (Paris), Lagassé Communications & Industries SAS (LCI-Douarnenez, France), and Inmoblia Europe SAS (Paris). Mr. Lagassé co-founded Les Industries C-MAC Inc. in 1985 and the Center of Entrepreneurship Dobson-Lagassé

Mr. Lagassé holds many degrees and prestigious titles: C.M., B.A., LL.L., M.B.A., H.D. (hon.C.U. of Sherbrooke), LL.D. (Bishop's). Louis Lagassé has also received several honors and awards; the most recent is the Order of Canada in 2003.
 


Serge Beaudoin
President and Chief Operating Officer

Serge Beaudoin began his career more than 15 years ago as a software communications protocol designer for the Societé de Micro d'ectronique Industrielle de Sherbrooke (SMIS). His career has encompassed numerous operations and engineering assignments, including various leadership positions at SMIS, C-MAC and Mediatrix. Mr. Beaudoin has also served as director of the hardware and low-level software team of Mediatrix Telecom as well as General Manager for M5T.

Mr. Beaudoin was instrumental in establishing the VoIP hardware and software development team of Mediatrix.

Mr. Beaudoin graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke and has completed an MBA from the same university.
 


Denis Paradis
Director of Operations and Customer Support

Denis Paradis a joined Media5 Corp. in July 2002 where He brings important experience in client relationship and value-added systems.

Prior to Joining Mediatrix M. Paradis worked for more than fifteen years in the manufacturing marketplace where he held several key positions as General Manager or Vice-President in quality, operations, product development and customer support. His talents were well-known for putting in place business procedures and multifunctional structure management for leaders in the car industry like Toyada Gosei (Toyota branch) or Saar Gummi (Germany) in North America.

Denis Paradis is graduated in Mecanical Engineering at the University of Laval, Québec
 


Philippe Babin
Director Product Line Management

Philippe Babin joined Mediatrix Telecom in 2001, where he is in charge of establishing the operations budget, manage R&D projects, and participate in the company's strategic orientations.

Prior to Joining Mediatrix, M. Babin occupied several managing positions for the last ten years. He began his career in 1994 at Les Microcircuits C-MAC Inc., as a Process Engineer and became for the same company IMPAC Project Coordinator and Substrates Operation Manager. For each of these positions he managed teams of 50 to 130 people and proved his capacities to lead important projects to success.

Philippe Babin graduated in Electrical Engineering at L'Université de Sherbrooke, Québec, and completed an MBA in Business Administration in 2004 at the same university.
 


Gottfried Heim
Sales Director Northern Europe

Gottfried Heim joins Mediatrix after holding several positions as Account Manager and Sales Consultant within the Deutsche Post for b2b integration solutions, as well as working as an Account Manager for bol Systemhaus GmbH, a leading provider of formula-based eGovernment solutions in Germany.

Mr. Heim earned an MBA degree from the University of Würzburg in cooperation with the University of Boston. He is also an accomplished musician and holds another master's degree in Church Music at the University of Arts in Berlin, where he also held a teaching position in choir conducting in the church music department.
 


Rock Bérard
Director, Human Resources

Rock Bérard has been with Media5 Corp since April 2002 as Director, Human Resources for Media5 and its subsidiaries. Mr. Bérard has extensive experience in the field of Human Resources. Prior to joining Media5, Mr. Bérard was Director of Human Resources, from 2000 to 2002, for Dutailier International Inc., a furniture company with more than 1,100 employees worldwide. Mr. Bérard was serving as Assistant Director, HR, for Domtar from 1996 to 2000.

Mr. Bérard is a part-time lecturer and consultant for the MBA and BA programmes at the University of Sherbrooke and Université du Québec a Montréal (UQAM). Mr. Bérard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management as well as a MBA in Administrative Sciences from University of Sherbrooke (Quebec).
